I think that your choice of a username is inappropriate, particularly if you have a desire to become a sysop. It makes you sound like a wannabe. Jimbo Wales 12:44, 27 Apr 2004 (UTC)
I apologize if you didn't like the tone of the above, but really your username is offensive. It's very important that administrators recognize that their role is purely technical, and not that of a "police force". Those who have a "cop" attitude simply cause disruption for the users.
We are a loving, co-operative environment. Your desire to help is very much appreciated, believe me. But take a more co-operative and helpful approach, and you'll be much better received. Jimbo Wales 20:07, 29 Apr 2004 (UTC)
My suggestion is just change you user name man, you don't want to get Jimbo mad (he's the owner of the website), but he tends to be quite nice, ok? if you have any problems respond on my talk page thanks!--Comrade Nick 04:01, 30 Apr 2004 (UTC)
If your intentions here are anything other than to try to cause disruption, my suggestions to you would be to change your user name. I'd also suggest withdrawing your name from consideration to be an administrator here, as you have far too few edits and are too new to generate much support-- be a good contributor for some months before asking again. -- Infrogmation 22:39, 15 May 2004 (UTC)
- I replied to your comments on User talk:Infrogmation. I really don't know what you mean by accusing me of "insubordination" (!) and doubt you have anything to make any formal complaint about. If your chosen user name was a honest newbie miscalculation rather than a deliberate attempt at disruption, I'm sorry if I offended you. My intention was to give advice rather than to insult. I have no interest in getting into any personal arguements. I hope I will soon see you as a good contributor here under a new name. Cheers, -- Infrogmation 16:11, 16 May 2004 (UTC)
If you are accepting recruits, I would gladly offer my services...
